An Application for Tree Detection Using Satellite Imagery and Vegetation Data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Virtual reconstruction of large landscapes from satellite imagery can be a time-consuming task due to the number of objects that must be extracted. Poor image resolution and noise hinder automatic detection processes and thus must be corrected by the user. This paper describes an application that allows the user to guide the automatic detection of trees from satellite imagery and spatial vegetation data. The requirements of the system are specified and an architecture that satisfies these constraints is presented. The resulting application provides an intuitive computeraided method for the selection and classification of trees.

متن کاملVegetation cover change detection using RS and GIS in Chaharbagh rangelands of Golestan province for a period of 30-years
Using accurate and low-cost methods to monitor quantitative changes in vegetation cover play an important role in the efficient and sustainable management when the area is too large. In this study, the changes of vegetation cover were investigated using satellite data of TM (Landsat_5) and oli (Landsat_8) sensors for a 30-year period (1988-2018) in Chaharbagh rangeland of Golestan province. T...

This study is a contribution to assess the high resolution digital aerial imagery for semi-automatic analysis of tree species identification. To maximize the benefit of such data, the object-based classification was conducted in a mixed forest plantation. Two subsets of an UltraCam D image were geometrically corrected using aero-triangulation method. Some appropriate transformations were perfor...
